4.0 out of 5 stars great phone for the price
it came in in great condition. i don't think i seen a scratch on it. has lasted me a few years and just had to replace the battery but seems very durable as i dropped it many times and no cracked screen. has plenty of storage for the games and apps i use with the screen very bright and colorful on them. it has even gotten the latest (as i write this) android 16 update and works great with it

4.0 out of 5 stars Very impressed w/ the Pixel 6 Pro and Amazon's renewal service
First time utilizing Amazon renewable services, so certainly not trying to convey a wealth of experience. I ordered the Pixel 6 pro, paid $298. Brand new retail was $650. The unit I ordered was listed in "Excellent" condition.I received a generic box that included the phone which was professionally encased in a foam cover, a sim key, cable packaged, and charger sealed in plastic. The charger and cable appear to be new, the charger is a black samsung fast charger. Additionally they include a return label (in case you wish to send back the phone), and Amazon offers a 90 day return window. (normal is 60 day)The phone was clean (no smudges or fingerprints), and free from any blemishes. The only sign it was not brand new was a little discoloration near the microphone and that may have been just the color of the protective screen. The phone booted up to the home screen with no data on it(like it had been tested). I factory reset it and the phone linked with my google account and Sim with no issues. I did need a double usb c cable(not included) to transfer data from my old phone (Pixel 2) to the new Pixel 6 Pro. The whole set up process was easy and the phone appears to be fully functional. The initial review of the phone itself. I bought this to replace a Pixel 7 (not a pro) that had a laundry list of problems including the dreaded spontaneously cracking rear camera lens. (Amazon accepted my return for a partial refund, Google would not honor warranty claim.) My previous (to the Pixel 7)phone and the one I used in the interim was the Pixel 2 (love the pixel 2 all time favorite phone, just hasn't been supported since 2020, so is a little buggy, and battery life is terrible.)The Pixel 6 pro has an amazing camera set up. 4 times optical zoom and up to 20x digital zoom. That being said I recognize the specs are better than both the Pixel 7 and 2, but Im not sure how many photos I take that truly take advantage of the increased capability. All three phones were completely adequate. The processor on all three phones is faster than I am, so Im not sure I can really rate the difference, but it is plenty fast and years of updates coming.Where I am super happy, the fingerprint scanner, the pixel 7 never worked very well, (maybe 1 out of 10, and I often had to wet my thumb for biometric authentication which made it better but still maybe 5 out of 10), nothing I did made a significant improvement(no protector, w/ protector, reinput fingerprints etc.). The pixel 2 is the best fingerprint scanner I have ever used (I really like it being placed on the rear and using my index finger.) That said the Pixel 6 Pro has the screen thumbprint scanner like the 7, but it works 9 out of 10 times, and honestly I think the 10th time may be because I miss the spot with my thumb. So huge improvement over the 7 and I can only hope google goes back to the rear one in the future(not holding my breath)Size, its taller than the 7, it is a pro, and both the regular 6 and 7 are much larger than the 2. I really liked the 2's size <6 inches, but none of the top phones are sub 6 inches anymore, and going from the 7 to the 6 pro really hasn't changed where I can put it or how I use it. So overall not a negative factor for me, but a both 7 and 6 pro are a little big for the front pocket. My initial impressions are really good, I am pleasantly surprised with Amazons renewal service, and the price point is fantastic (46% of new cost), also it is nice to give new life to a piece of tech that otherwise may have gone to the landfill. The pixel 6 pro at least initially seems to not have any of the issues I suffered through with the 7, the fingerprint scanner works, the USB C port works consistently, hopefully no issues with the screen or camera lens, I have protectors on both and a Spigen case. Also, the pro model has a significantly better fit and finish despite being a model year older. According to the specs a 6 pro beats a 7 regular in almost every area.Amazon incentivizing using this service with extending the return window and even including the return receipt makes using this renewal service an excellent option. My phone looked brand new, I did see in the reviews that some people had some blemishes on the body. I am always going to put a case on it, I would have been ok with some minor blemishes , if everything works and the lens and screen are perfect, but everyone is different. I will update if anything changes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Camera has to save a lot of negatives
The media could not be loaded. Oh man, where to start. I guess I got too used to Motorola version of Android and unfortunately found more negatives in my daily use than positives, one of which was due to buying a used phone. In the end, the camera has a lot to make up for.Pros –- VERY fast and snappy, even after I set the screen to 60Hz to save on battery(I also set animations to .5sec in developer options).-No problem with phone calls. I can hear people fine and no one has complained yet on the other end(Mint Mobile)-WiFi calling is available via Mint Mobile-Stabilization works really well in video mode. I had originally purchased a Motorola Edge 2022 (not the + version) and didn’t think the OIS there was doing anything at all. On the Pixel, the video is noticeably stabilized while walking.-Photos are a level above from my Moto G Stylus 2021. Telephoto, ultrawide all shoot excellent-Photos come out sharp in just about every circumstance I can throw at it. Whether it is just because of the screen or the photos, when I show people my pictures on my phone they usually say “wow, that is a good picture” or something like that.-Low light shots I took around a fire were really good and I think the HDR worked in my favor(no upload for this due to people in shot)-Love the look of the phone and love the look of the curved glass. It came in great condition with one caveat***-Battery life is good. Battery saver is amazing and Extreme Battery Saver even more. Besides the most essential apps, you can choose what you want to run. I just chose my Brave browser and I could surf the web for a good hour to 2 hours and only lose battery in the single digits.-Does not overheat so far as some reported so appears the update to Android 13 was a good thing.-Happy to have NFC again-I like wireless charging so I don’t have to worry about wear and tear on the USB C port. I’m not a power user so charging speeds are plenty good for me. Reverse wireless charging did work on my Tozo case but I doubt I will use that feature much-Bluetooth is strong. Again, vs my old Stylus, my Tozo NC9 true wireless buds would cut in and out depending on where I had my phone and sometimes had to move it to another pocket. I’m glad to say no cutouts yet with the Pixel on the same headphones.-Youtube Videos look great-Speakers are nice and loud. Fuller sound and not so tinny as other phones I’ve had.Cons –-First thing was the Search bar on the bottom. It was staring me in the face in all the reviews but no one mentioned you cannot remove it or even move it. If I could have at least moved it to the top, I would not have installed a new launcher but I had to install Nova launcher to get my home screen setup the way i like. This is something where I think Motorola nails the true Android experience better than Google, i.e. more customizable.-Build quality and quality control may be suspect. It just doesn't feel solid compared to my G Stylus.-While in most conditions I’m loving the HDR, I can now see where it can be overzealous. My night time shots looked great but when I took a picture of a dog on the carpet(it’s uploaded with this review), the carpet REALLY stood out and looked odd. Yes, it was nice and sharp but did come off overprocessed. This thing is definitely quick and at least in photos, does not seem to hunt for focus before taking a shot. I can definitely see some delay in my older phones now compared to this.-At first, I thought the fingerprint scanner was fine and wondered what everyone was complaining about as played with it with no issues right out of the box. I found out it wasn't as good when I go for my walks whereas my G Stylus 2021 and the regular Edge 2022 I had just for a short bit had no issues with fingerprint sensors while walking. The more I used it, the more I found I had to hit the spot just right or make sure to hold still, concentrate and place my index finger carefully. It's not horrible, it just not as good. I may need to re-enter my thumb.-Another issues owners did point out that I thought would not be a problem was the curved screen but in the end they were right. Yes, it can cause issues with navigation when “holding it wrong” and you are touching the edges. One example was scrolling on a webpage went crazy by scrolling very fast back and forth. It doesn’t happen often but it will eventually if your thumb or index are touching the edge while your other index finger is trying to select or scroll. But damnit, to me it looks so good.-Activating the camera or flashlight not as easy as on a Motorola. They also changed the icons on the lock screen. No more camera icon on the lock screen was a letdown so I can’t easily open the camera that way as a workaround. I thought setting the double-tap on the back to open the camera would be a good workaround as it worked pretty good on the flashlight though a little more troublesome with a case and annoyingly your screen must be on for the double-tap to work. Not unlocked just woken up with a tap or picking up the phone. With Motorola phones, it does not matter if the screen is off, the double shake will turn on the flashlight. Unfortunately, the camera does not open if the screen is locked even if it awake. This is where I had to depend on the double-tap of the power button. More on that at the end.****Nitpicks --No built-in clock widget that also shows weather. Motorola has this but I had to get a 3rd party app to get the clock/weather I like but still disappointed in the design of it.-Android 13 or maybe 12 introduced a different way to set your phone on vibration or silent. I just thought it was plain dumb to make a pop-up to choose when it is so tiny. To me, it was much easier to just click on the same icon once or twice. With the pop-up it always makes me pause before choosing. Conclusion – for as much research as I did on the phone, I thought I would enjoy it much more. Sadly, all I could do was compare it to my previous Motorola phones(they just need to up their camera game).****BIGGEST con(due to being a used phone) – After googling, posting on an official Pixel forum and receiving a response from one of their Gold Product Experts, I found out the power button is supposed to be as “clicky” as the volume buttons. It is NOT on this phone and it may be the biggest reason I return it. It makes it very difficult to activate the camera consistently on the first try, lock the screen, turn off/restart the phone and I also worry about the longevity of its functionality. I absolutely would be upset if I had to pay 100-150 bucks to repair the power button in a year or two from now, if that is even possible and hopefully does not ruin its waterproofing.****(Pics and videos included. Since I am limited to one video by Amazon, I decided to render the 5 videos at 4K resolution with 30fps. Keep that in mind if they don’t look good to you. I would have preferred loading each camera and fps setting separately. I’ve uploaded a mixture of standard, telephoto and ultra-wide shots along with indoor and outdoor.)Update 3/9/2023 - Experienced another issue(besides fingerprint) that some users mentioned in that the Pixel 6 Pro does not have good reception. I've had a couple occasions now where I got the no mobile network found, something I have not encountered on my Moto G Stylus. One suggestion is to turn off Adaptive Connectivity(it is supposed to save battery life) so I will try that.

5.0 out of 5 stars So Far, So Great! (just replace with the right charger)
I was worried about buying renewed because I rarely do and honestly have had horrible luck with brand new electronics. But so far this has been a fantastic buy. It runs smooth and switches between screens and apps very fast, charges fast, has beautiful vibrant colors and very bright screen if I need. I haven't had any technical issues at all. For the most part the phone is spotless, except the charge port inside has noticeable wear but it does not affect anything at all. I will say to buy a usb-c to usb-c fast charger for this phone because the one sent in box is not and it's very slow charging which might seem like it has a bad battery, but it is just important to use the right charger. But it says it in item description that it's not original charger, so I was not concerned with that and already planned to get another if I had to. The second issue I had was that when opening the box and inspecting it, I saw a small spot on the screen in the bottom corner. It's very faint and can only see it if actually tilting the phone looking for it. I tried to clean it but it seems to be inside the screen so I was worried about that, but once I charged it and turned it on, that spot is completely unnoticeable and does not show through when using the phone. I actually completely forgot about it till I wrote this review because I don't notice it anymore. The phone gets a bit warm when playing a game or something of that sort, but I have been told and researched that it's normal for pixel phones. That hasn't caused any issues or slowing of the phone. For a renewed phone and being on a budget, this has been completely worth it and I'm very happy with the purchase. If anything changes I will update.

Great phone, got it for Google FI and it works great. It still gets latest updates so no reason to buy a newer one. I love that about the pixels.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent camera, touch screen is not very sensitive
I purchased a Pixel 8 Pro on Amazon Renewed and it was an excellent camera phone in excellent condition, like new. The plan has been to install the Graphene OS for de-googling and privacy protection. Graphene is only available on Pixel phones. I bought this Pixel 6 Pro to experiment with, the plan being to install either Graphene OS or e//OS when e//OS is available for the Pixel 6. At last check that is in the works, but it's only available on the Pixel 5 and below. This phone will only get updates until 2026 and I just bought this in January 2025.This Pixel 6 Pro is also a nice phone like the Pixel 8 pro and it has a fantastic camera on it, and it's about the same size as the Pixel 8 Pro. I believe it's bigger than the Pixel 7 Pro. Unfortunately, it has the curved edge screen, not flat like the Pixel 8.The battery life is pretty good. With normal to light use, I can go almost 1.5 days before recharging is necessary. My one complaint is that this renewed phone was listed as "excellent condition." Either "excellent condition" has become a relative description based on age, or the Lister is blind, because this phone was in good-very good condition. It has a few scratches on the screen, one that was very significant. There were a number of visible scratches around the edges. My complaints of newer phones is the lack of SD card storage space, and lack of telephone jacks. At least this has a physical/removable SIM card

1.0 out of 5 stars Locked phone - refund "pending"?
So I've had a decent relationship with these refurbished phones. In fact the most of them have been really good phones. But I decided to buy my son a Google 6 Pro. Because that's what he wanted and I have not ever had any dealings with them but I have Spectrum mobile. Before I ordered the phone I checked Spectrum mobile to make sure that the phone would work and yes the Google pixel 6 Pro was on the list of phones that would work with spectrum. So of course the anticipation of a new phone excited my son and finally the day came and we took out his SIM card from his old phone and put it in the new phone and it would not work. So I said Son don't worry about it we will go to Spectrum tomorrow and we will get this taken care of. So we are at Spectrum and the guy is looking up the phone and guess what? The phone was an AT&T phone and it still was under contract. The phone was still under contract. I could not use the phone so I wound up buying my son a brand new Google pixel 7 Pro at the Spectrum store. Which means that I had to return the case that I ordered, the glass screen protector and the phone. Within a few days I had already received the refund for the screen protector and the case. I requested the refund for the phone on March 18th of 2023. They received the phone on March 22nd 2023. The tracking said that the phone had been received by them and when I go and check the refund status it says that they will refund my money when they get the phone. They've had the phone now for 2 weeks and I still not received the refund. I have no way of getting a hold of this company I have very limited ways of contacting anyone and so the only thing I can do is leave a one-star review. Is it this is going to do anything. I do know that I hate one star reviews. I've criticized so many people for leaving one star reviews especially when it comes to anything as far as art and how subjective art is to leave a one-star review is just ignorant but in this case I'm going to let that fly because they have $350 of my money that they seem to not want to get back. Maybe they will see this and decide to get off their rumps and refund my money. Just as an example I had ordered a pair of boots recently and the boots were $250. When I received them they were the most uncomfortable boots I ever worn and I work in a factory on concrete floor so comfort in your work boots is really important. So I boxed them up and returned them and they have not even received the box yet and they've already refunded my money. I don't know what's taking this company so long to refund my money but it would seem to me seeing as how they sold me a locked and under contract phone that as soon as they see that it was on its way they should have refunded my money. But they've had it for 2 weeks and they still have not refunded my money so I don't know what's going on but this review will stay until I get my money back and once I get it I might delete this review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing phone for an amazing price
I could not be more happy with this phone! It is a durable powerhouse that has been with me through all kinds of adventures. My pixel 6 pro has seen extremely high and low temperatures, taken thousands of beautiful photos, and it has even survived a house fire where it was submerged under 6in+ of water (from the fire hoses) for like 5 hours. It still works beautifully! The phone has an amazing battery life and many features that my other phones did not have (such as the call screening feature). The only issue I have noticed is that the camera will overheat if you take lots of RAW images in the heat. This can be a problem if you are trying to capture something magical out in nature and your phone overheats before getting that perfect shot. I am a huge photography nerd and this has not been a major issue for me. It is a very rare occurrence that I likely could have prevented by turning down the brightness and turning off RAW mode.I live in a rainy, cold climate so the heat is rarely an issue for me. But if you live in a very sunny and hot climate it is worth noting the overheating issue plus the phones dim screen brightness. These are issues that have likely been fixed with the newer pixels, but not this one.Attached are some edited RAW images that I took with my pixel to showcase the camera's potential. The telephoto lens has only gotten better with recent updates and it is totally worth the money if you like photography. Learning how to edit the raw images will take your photos to the next level. I use the app snapseed and it does a lovely job.

5.0 out of 5 stars BRAND NEW CONDITION 🤯 (..at least for me..)
I was shocked with relief when I inspected the phone to find absolutely no blemishes at all. I even looked harder, still nothing anywhere. Not the tiniest scrape or ding... The screen is in perfect condition, along with the camera module as well. The ONLY thing is there is something that rattles on the inside behind the camera, like something got knocked loose or someone didn't tighten a little component up like should have been, although this does nothing to effect the performance of the phone. As long as you aren't one to shake your phone, or drop it repeatedly, you will be completely fine (😂). That doesn't bother me one bit, as like I said, it doesn't interfere with the phone's inner workings one bit.The battery 🔋, as I'm sure everyone is wondering about, is great. I've only had it for 3 days as I'm writing this, but I have had no issues with the battery draining, and the battery is just starting to learn my usage habits. With that being said, battery life depends on your own personal usage... Don't be deterred by what you hear from those YouTuber reviewers talking about the battery is horrible, because it's nothing close to that. The battery drainage is what you make it, pretty much. For the performance, the phone is snappy & not laggy. It works perfectly, as it should. The hapics are very prominent, the speaker gets loud and stay clear at the loudest setting. The sound does not get tinny, nor distorted out the louder it gets. Power & Volume Rocker give a good "click" and are very sturdy. ✅
